Elephun

January 30, 2009

On Wednesday this week the Los Angeles City Council voted to approve the continuation of construction on the Los Angeles Zoo's Pachyderm Forest, where Billy the elephant will return to live. We had the good fortune of getting to see the elephant in the existing habitat last spring. He didn't look so sad, but then I am not quite sure what a sad expression looks like on an  Read more...

The opportunities for fun and learning seem endless. Petting zoos, exotic foods, carnival rides, environmental exhibits, competitions, and popular characters are only the beginning of what The Fair has to offer. The  Read more...

History Lesson: Little Ranch Hands

July 21, 2008

Sometimes it's valuable to show children how to do things the way they were originally meant to be done, and by this I mean without modern technology.
